Albatross functions as an e-medical consultation platform aimed at supporting physicians in under-resourced regions by facilitating efficient access to specialist advice securely and on demand.

The platform aligns with the principles outlined in Articles 3 and 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, reinforcing the imperative that:

• Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person.
• All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights, endowed with reason and conscience, and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

Global disparities in access to quality healthcare remain a pressing issue. Specialists possess the expertise to mitigate these inequalities, yet ensuring timely access to the right professionals poses a significant challenge. Albatross addresses this concern effectively by acting as a dedicated platform for electronic consultations, capitalizing on the surplus capacity of medical experts in developed regions to assist those in need elsewhere.

A notable feature of Albatross is its provision for flexibility concerning time, commitment, and obligation for participating physicians. Designed as a doctor-to-doctor application, it allows users to structure their consultations with tools that enable the uploading of anonymized documents, images, and videos. Furthermore, Albatross prioritizes data security, as it does not mine, collect, share, or utilize either user or patient data for commercial purposes.
